Vanessa was born and raised in the Bay Area. She attended Ohlone’s Physical Therapist Assistant Program, graduating with an Associates of Science Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant in 2018.
She has a love for sports and studying of the human body. Her interest in physical therapy began when she took an anatomy and physiology course in high school. This led her to look more into careers in the healthcare industry. What interested her the most about her career in physical therapy is the hands-on approach with patients. She believes that you must treat each patient as an individual and not just by their diagnosis. It is important to learn what is important to everyone to determine their goals with physical therapy. What makes her continue to love her career is the constant learning environment, whether it’s from taking education classes or interacting with a patient, there is always something to be learned.
She always has been a huge fan of sports and roots for the San Jose Sharks and Oakland As in her free time. She also enjoys spending time with her family, cats, and reading good books.
